球磨機是一個圓形筒體,兩端有端蓋,端蓋連著軸頸支承在基座上。一端為進料,另一端為出料。在出料端蓋裝有齒輪并連接傳動裝置。筒體內(nèi)裝入一定量的適當規(guī)格的研磨體(一般為鋼球或鋼段)和被磨物料,其加入量通常為筒體有效容積的25%~45%,當電動機通過齒輪帶動筒體回轉(zhuǎn)時,磨內(nèi)鋼球和物料在磨擦力和離心力的作用下將被帶動作相應的弧形運動。當磨機轉(zhuǎn)速達到一定的速度(即工作轉(zhuǎn)速)時,物料和鋼球的混合物將被帶到筒體的上部,在接近頂端的位置上,由上向下拋落或瀉落,從而對下部物料進行沖擊、研磨和輾碎。磨細的物料通過磨機出料端的格子板、揚料板和軸頸內(nèi)的出料螺旋卸入出料罩的圓筒篩內(nèi)過篩卸出。
球磨機按筒體長度分為短筒、長筒、管磨和錐形等多種;按內(nèi)部結(jié)構(gòu)分為單倉和多倉;按傳動方式分為周邊傳動和中心傳動;按排料方式分為溢流排料和格子排料等多種形式。粉煤灰加氣混凝土廠多使用單倉(或兩倉)管磨機,這種磨機適用于入料粒徑較小、硬度不大、出料細度要求較高的物料,非常適合加氣混凝土的物料特點。
由于球磨機在磨細過程中有混合作用,可將石灰和石膏混合磨細,運轉(zhuǎn)可靠,維修工作量小,物料磨細度符合加氣混凝土生產(chǎn)的需要,成為首先的磨細設備。
